Are you looking for help on your Pressbooks project? The most comprehensive resource available is the Pressbooks User Guide, which contains everything you need to know about creating, enriching and exporting your work. The Pressbooks support page also contains links to other useful support resources and has answers to some commonly asked questions.
If you’re just getting started with Pressbooks, this short video series will guide you. And if you learn best by learning by attending live training sessions, you can register for and attend one of Pressbooks’ monthly webinars.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t have an account yet, can I log in?
Everyone with a Yale NetID has access to Yale’s Pressbooks site. The first time you log in, an account will be created for you on the site. To login, click on the “Sign In” link on the upper right side of this page. This will take you to Yale’s Central Authentication Service and you will use your Yale NetID credentials to login.
Once logged in, we recommend that you change the email address in your Pressbooks profile, as it will automatically be set to your NetID@yale.edu, which will not successfully receive emails.
How can I change my email address and customize my profile information?
The first time you log in, your email address in your Pressbooks account will be set to your NetID@yale.edu. You can change this by clicking on your profile in the upper right hand corner of the website. Then choose “Edit Profile” and update any information there that you’d like to. This is where you can customize information about yourself as well as add social media links.
How can I create/clone a book?
To request the creation or cloning of a Pressbook, please email Kris Wingo, the CLS Language Technology Specialist: kristian.wingo@yale.edu
